The Duo have been acknowledged greatly in the past 3 years for their work on the smash hit Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land, A Christmas story! Live, but last night's Golden Globe Awards saw them winning the award for best original song for "The Greatest Showman's" Title song This is Me.
The Greatest Showman, A Musical movie about P.T Barnum creating his circus, already grossed 150.4 million dollars USD.Starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, and Zendaya, we were all surprised at how little awards the movie won at the Golden Globes. But the show did win best original song for This is Me. In their acceptance speech, the songwriting team gave special thanks to Tony nominee Keala Settle (Waitress, Hands on a Hardbody), who lends her signature belt to “This Is Me” as bearded lady Lettie. Pasek and Paul are also up for a Grammy this year for the Dear Evan Hansen cast recording. In December, the two wrote new material for Fox’s live presentation of their A Christmas Story musical, paving the way for a potential speed track to an EGOT.
