Taylor Trensch has set his takeover date in Dear Evan Hansen

The record Breaking hit "Dear Evan Hansen" Boasts tons of new developments, there is to many to report on. But recently, The Music Box theatre has just announced that Taylor Trensch will be taking over the role as Evan Hansen, on February 6th, 2018.

Trensch is currently starring in "Hello Dolly!" as Barnaby Tucker;he concludes his run in the Tony-winning revival January 14. His previous Broadway credits include The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Matilda, and Wicked.

Trensch will be taking over for Noah Galvin, who took over for Ben Platt mid-November, and Galvin will play his final Performance February 4th. Original cast members Laura Dreyfuss, Tony winner Rachel Bay Jones, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Tony nominee Mike Faist, Michael Park, and Will Roland have all extended their contracts and will remain with the musical through May 2018. Kristolyn Lloyd will depart in March.

Dear Evan Hansen currently plays at The Music Box theatre, and even though its only been on Broadway for about a year, It is still amazing no less.
