Ethan Slater in SpongeBob SquarePants on Broadway

The New Broadway musical from Chicago, based on the hit television show has recently performed their opening night performance. The reaction so far has been incredible and fans are going crazy over the shows music and cast. But there is always something that can go wrong, and in this case Ethan Slater injured his hand during Friday's performance.
The show was going great so far, the cast was great, the music was great, but then the audience started to notice some things. During the second act, Slater started to be seen holding a tissue or a rag, it isn't that clear. and he started avoiding physical contact with his other cast members. Then when he would remove his tissue, his hand was unusually red. And, when he went to hold hands with Danny Skinner, the tissue was back. Plus, when fans went to the stage door, the body guards at the doors informed the crowd that he couldn't come out to sign anything.
Slater tweeted today, "Thanks to all asking about my hand- I'm ok! And still thinking about how my cast mates problem solved during #BestDayEver. Best Friends Ever." So what does this mean? Well for one it tells us that the injury happened during best day ever. But no need to worry. Slater is making a full recovery and all of us here at RealBroadway are very thankful for that. He will be back in no time at all.
SpongeBob SquarePants has opened at the palace theatre, and tickets have already started selling out. A new Block of tickets has just been announced so go get yours and see the hit musical now.
